February 2001 - FROM THE UNDERGROUND #3 (GER) - a very rough translation

Which as the first be noticeable is the CD-COVER of which with the domestic PC inclusive color printers one gefertight. Afterwards the more than dull/musty sound, which continues to surprise , if the four sing nevertheless in a garage were taken up.

Actually harm, because with a tidy producktion the music between melodischen parts and thrashigem agony think more geballer certainly properly I. Nevertheless one can say, dab funf the north Irish on the correct way is. Those grumbles has heart and power, offers a good balance between violent and carried.

Like honey it does not come along even, rather fast and heartful. If only the terrible sound were not! Fur £3.50 with HFC Magharabeg Road, Dromore, CO down, BT25 1RS, GB.

Fur £3.50 bei HFC Magharabeg Road, Dromore, Co. Down, BT25 1RS, GB. (marco)

October 2000 - INQUISTION #1 (UK)

Apparently Honey For Christ have been making waves in their homeland of Northern Ireland. I have to agree with the band who freely admit the sound quality is shit (it was however recorded on a 4 track in a garage!). However, the band's enthusiasm is infectious and the quality of the music shines through the murky production.

The vocals remind me of Down and the swagger present in many of the riffs is also reminiscent of some New Orleans bands. Some faster sections ensure that the music never gets bogged down. All in all this is great fun and a great reminder of what heavy metal is all about! Top Stuff!

£3.00 (CD) £1.50 (Tape) (cheques to: A. Clarke) from HFC, 32 Magherbeg Road, Dromore, Co. Down, BT25 1RS, Northern Ireland.

May 2000 - TERRORIZER (UK)

For aficionados of crushing metal, Ireland's Honey For Christ's 'Long way down & rising' is worth a butchers.

A numbingly heavy rhythm section with a knack for squeezing melodies out of overbearing riffs and a vocalist who can throw his voice half way across the emerald isle combine effectively to make for a very promising doom / heavy metal band.

Think early Cathedral and Solstice. Even on my dubbed copy the sheer depth to the band comes through and you'll be headbanging to this incessantly.

Cute band name though.

December 1999 - METAL ZONE PRODUCTIONS 666 (UK)

Heavy metal band from Northern Ireland. They have a good reputation out there and play a lot with big bands such as Cathedral for example.

They have had a few line problems since their beginning (back in 91) and today their line up is ready to stay for good and conquer the underground metal world.

They have a new demo CD "Long way down & rising" which contains 4 good tracks and has got really good artwork and design, available for only £3!!!
